About Me

Hi, my name is Jordan and I am a Vocalist tenor from the Chicago area. I have been a student of music for 13 years. My musical influences include "classical" pieces such as the vocal works of Franz Schubert; I also enjoy modern day indie rock/folk. My teaching style can best be described as "Kinesthetic"; I work to find whatever feels comfortable and relaxed to the student. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I like to take into account what my students enjoy while also introducing them to new things. In my lessons, you can expect to learn a variety of musical styles.

I like to tell my students to sing like no one is listening. Don't be afraid to make mistakes! My favorite thing about teaching is watching growth in both skill and confidence. My favorite performance was back in high school when I performed at the Grand Ole Opry. My students love that I am laid back and flexible in teaching style. I primarily teach Classical and Folk, but I can also work with the student to discover other styles of music.
