Mateo has always loved music from an early age. He began playing classical piano at the age of 9 and jazz piano at the age of 17. Also he began taking vocal lessons at age 17. His musical influences include a great variety of artists and genres such as rock Queen, Pink Floyd..., jazz Bill Evans, John Coltrane, Chet Baker or R&B Moonchild, Bruno Major... Mateo's favorite thing about music is the way you can express yourself so deeply through sound and connect with people all around the world. His favorite thing about teaching music is the real connection that is established, and observing the growth of the student. When taking lessons with Mateo you can expect quick growth, and a great understanding of the person he is teaching in order to make the most out of the learning experience.
