Hi, my name is Joseph and I'm a classical bassoonist from Richland, WA. I've been studying the bassoon for nearly 10 years now and I'm currently studying at the Oberlin Conservatory under Drew Pattison. As a teacher, my approach will parallel the style of teaching Professor Pattison uses, which is a very process oriented approach. Students can expect working on different ways to practice difficult material, ways to identify fundamental problems affecting progress, and also a lot of fun. I am also a sufficient reed maker and can teach basic reed adjustment and reed making. And while I primarily play the bassoon, I am also experienced and competent on the Contrabassoon.
