Coleman has always loved music from an early age. He began playing the guitar at the age of nine, as well as drums from the age of eleven and continued his education by lessons, playing with people, studying, informing himself via multiple platforms, and PRACTICING. His musical influences include Red Hot Chili Peppers, Velvet Underground, Nirvana, Phish, Led Zeppelin, Sublime, Pink Floyd, Metallica, Buddy Rich, Rush, Green Day, Weezer, Michael Jackson, Funkadelic, Blink-182, Huey Lewis and the News... Coleman's favorite thing about music is giving and receiving energy and his favorite thing about teaching music is sharing passion and seeing a smile. One of his favorite teaching experiences was the first time I taught someone how to create and hold a beat.
