Hello! My name is Michael and I am a piano/voice/percussion teacher from Durango, CO. I moved here to Longmont a few months ago with my fiancé and I am looking to begin my studio of students. I have extensive performance experience, a great understanding of music theory and technique, and a bachelor's degree in music business from Fort Lewis College. Although I am a classically trained pianist, most of my influences come from classic and modern rock, pop, and funk. I can't wait to start teaching and inspiring future musicians to play the music that inspires them. I look forward to hearing from you!

What to expect in my Drum Lessons
Intermediate
Students can expect to learn songs that they are familiar with, as well as basic music theory and chord sequences. We will begin with basic technique and move on to rhythm and melodies after.
What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons

Students can expect to learn correct breathing techniques as well as scales and solfedge.
What to expect in my Vocal Lessons

Students can expect to learn how to take personal experiences and create a musical narrative from their lives.
What to expect in my Song Writing Lessons
Advanced
Students can expect to learn how to listen and blend rhythm with melody and lyrical content to compliment the music being played. Students will also learn to keep time as well as learn musical phrasing, ideal for performing with other musicians.
