What to expect in my Record Engineer Produce

Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced

A student would expect to learn everything they desire to on the topic of recording, engineering and producing. I have been working with Digital Audio Workstations for the past 9 years and have been recording and engineering professionally for the past 4 or 5 years. I have an extensive knowledge base in the recording arts. Anything from signal flow to microphone selection and beyond. I could teach the ins and outs of a recording console, I have worked on an SSL Duality, SSL J series and a Neve 5088 how to take it apart and put it back together. A student would be able to learn how to listen properly and understand how frequencies work, not just in the mix but in a live room environment and so on. Honestly, any topic they would want to learn in this field, I would be able to teach to them with ease.

What to expect in my Song Writing Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced

Students can expect to learn the basics through finishing a fully composed, structured and produced song. Everything from synthesis to complex song structure would be taught. Intermediate music theory will be applied to production in any genre in order to capture what it is they are trying to do with their music. I have produced and composed a wide variety of music. Everything from short to medium orchestral scores for films to pop and rap / hip hop that has seen a good amount of radio and streaming play.

What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced

Students will learn the basics of song structure and an intermediate to semi advanced knowledge of music theory. They will then be able to apply this to their playing in order to better practice their favorite songs or pieces. The physical skill takes time and discipline to learn, but I believe that once students have the understanding of how and why music works the way it does, it will help them excel in playing and writing music.
