Darrell (Matt) has been playing guitar for 30 years and Fiddle for 19. He has been teaching private and group lessons for the past 15 years. He has been fortunate enough to be the understudy of Fiddle greats Bobby Hicks, Buddy Spicher, Jason Carter and Casey Dreiessen. While he is passionate about all genres of music he specializes in Bluegrass, Rock, Blues, Jazz and Folk. He also offers instruction in Songwriting and arrangement. Performing Experience:
20+ years performance and recording experience nationally including his own projects The Blu Skies as singer, songwriter and guitarist. Toured with Bluegrass band Riverbend, American band The 5 and diners and rockabilly band Jake Weber and the lonesome Drifters.
Experience Teaching:
12 18 years teaching privately as well as Instructor and Program Coordinator for Folk School of KDHX St Louis Mo.
