My name is Amanda and I am a Voice Music Education Major from ASU and I graduated from Chandler Gilbert Community College with an Associates in Vocal Performance. I recently transferred to EAC to finish my degree. I have been a student of music for many years. My musical influences include classical,pop and my main specialty is musical theater. My teaching style can best be described as positive reinforcement and building confidence. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I am inclusive and encouraging. In my lessons, you can expect to learn about music theory. This is going to help out a ton and get you ready to sing anything. Confidence is key when performing so don’t be afraid to sing out in my lessons. My favorite thing about teaching is serving my community and helping others. My favorite performance was when I was in Into The Woods at CGCC where I performed as Cinderella’s Stepmother. My students love that I can teach them new things and cater to their needs. Beginner - - Intermediate
Students will receive a custom made repertoire to focus on and a video recital performance to share with family. We will work on expanding your knowledge and let you find techniques to help your voice.

Performing Experience:
I have been performing vocally for 8 years. I have been in many musical productions such as: The Sound of Music, Mary Poppins, Les Miserables, The Secret Garden, A Christmas Carol, Once On This Island, Into The Woods, Our Town. I have also assisted directing some jr productions such as: Peter Pan, Annie, Into the Woods, and Mary Poppins. I have music directed a few musical productions such as: The Little Mermaid and Matilda.
Experience Teaching:
I teach private voice lessons whenever I can. I also teach musical theatre at Childsplay in Tempe,AZ. I have directed musicals and taught classes with themes and performance scripts. I currently teach a devised piece musical theatre class on the weekends.
