He began playing drums and various other instruments at the age of two and continued his education by Dana Murray. His musical influences include Herbie Hancock, Mint Condition, Miles Davis, Stevie Wonder, Elvin Jones, and The Police. John's favorite thing about music is using it to connect people together and his favorite thing about teaching music is to inspire people to want to practice and better.
