Joshua has been in love with electronic music since he was 14 years old and heard his first Aphex Twin album. The complex patterns and hyper-real soundscapes led him on a journey in search of sonic satisfaction.

Joshua has been seriously producing electronic music for 2 years. Ableton Live is his weapon of choice, but he can navigate any popular digital audio production software. In years prior to producing, Joshua used NI Traktor DJ software and still dabbles with mixing, though Ableton Live also works great for DJ'ing.

Joshua does not stick to any single genre but currently produces dubstep and bass heavy bouncing tunes. When the mood strikes him he may produce slow jazzy ambient soundscapes, and the next day he may create blazing fast and hard breakbeats or psychedelic trance. Major influences include classic dub, reggae, ambient, IDM, psytrance, drum&bass, hip-hop, trip-hop, and dubstep.

During the first lesson with a new student Joshua may create a basic set using percussion, lead, and bass sounds -and focus on how easy it is to start producing music with no musical experience.

Joshua sets his focus on the importance of EQ'ing, filters, compression, reverb, and saturation to achieve a clean sound. His production experience has taught him to create a very clean mix before getting lost in sonic embellishments and automation.
