Bored at home due to covid? Always wanted to learn guitar and jam out to your favorite songs? Gimme Andy! Hi, my name is Andy and I'm a 20 year old college sophomore and I have been playing guitar for around 10 years. I started off with about 3 years of classical guitar, and then my interests moved towards rock and the blues. I then branched off to other genres and joined jazz band in high school where we received a superior rating at every competition we played in. Parents, I promise you this; if you want your child to play the guitar, I will instill the love of music in your child in a fun yet competitive fashion where they themselves will want to learn everything they can about the vast world of music.

What to expect in my Guitar Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced

If you are a beginner student, expect us to start from the fundamentals, with fun yet insightful exercises. Instead of learning the music theory at first, I will first teach songs in order for students to learn basic chord shapes and solos. Moving on, I will then start to teach the music theory and scales behind these songs in order for students to be able to apply what they have learned in a broader context. For the advanced learners, I will delve deeper into music theory by introducing jazz and will also teach more advanced techniques.

Performing Experience:

I have played at Miami Dade College for their classical guitar society, I have performed for School of Rock many times throughout my childhood, I played every concert and competition for the Belen Jesuit Jazz Band, and I have played at Dolphin Mall and Sunset place on various occasions.
