Jacob began his musical journey at the age of 10 when he signed up for drum set lessons in the back of a local music store. He quickly developed a passion for creating music and decided to pursue music as a career in high school. Jacob attended Ithaca College where he studied audio production as well as drumset performance. He also studied music theory, piano, and music history. He graduated in May of 2021 with a Bachelor's of Music in Sound Recording Technology. Jacob has studied numerous styles over the course of his musical career, including rock, jazz, funk, folk, cuban music, and many others. He has performed in a wide variety of settings such as musical theater pit orchestras, rock bands, jazz big bands, classical orchestras, and many more. He has been praised for his pragmatism, upbeat attitude and dedication to his craft.

What to expect in my Drum Lessons
Beginners will focus on basic technique and rudiments, as well introduction to musical styles such as rock, pop, jazz and funk. Students will learn beats and rhythms common in these styles, and learn how to play songs from these styles.
What to expect in my Drum Lessons
Intermediate to advanced students will learn more advanced techniques, systems for reading music, exercises for improving coordination and limb independence, leadership at the drums, and exercises or advanced time-keeping. If not already familiar, students will be introduced to styles such as afro-cuban, samba, bossa nova, etc. Students will also examine skills necessary for any musician to succeed, such as an understanding of form and basic theory.
What to expect in my Record Engineer Produce
Students will examine the recording, mixing and mastering processes. Students will receive an understanding of microphone techniques, types of microphones, how to record a variety of instruments and styles, mixing techniques and elements, as well as mastering techniques and elements.
