What to expect in my Guitar Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
I've been teaching Guitar, Mandolin and violin for over twenty years. I've played in Rock, Country, blues and Bluegrass bands for thirty plus years. My lessons are customized to fit the individual students knowledge and capabilities on the instrument. Most students, no matter what age, will be able to strum a complete song after the first lesson. I'm very patient and can break the song or music down to the simplest form, so the student never feels uncomfortable about his playing. I've also taught Martial Arts to students from five to fifty years old.
Formal Education:
I went to Kean College and studied Music Theory for two years.
Private Education:
Four years of private guitar lessons at a local music store.
Performing Experience:
forty plus years playing everything from Clubs to Festivals and Concerts.
Experience Teaching:
I had my own school for fifteen years, called The Musician's Room, where I taught Guitar, Mandolin, Violin and song writing to students from four to eighty years old. I also have been building and repairing string instruments for over twenty five years.
