Hello! My name is Dustin, I am a Bassist and Composer with a passion for exploring different areas of music as well as trying to be creative in finding different unique sounds and textures. I also play low brass, piano and have learned sound design/recording through my college experience.

What to expect in my Song Writing Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate

Learning basic knowledge of theory and how to structure chords and chord progressions, rhythmic patterns, as well as stepping out of the comfort zone harmonically in the more advanced lessons.


What to expect in my Bass Guitar Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate

Learning the basic knowledge of theory as well as how it pertains to bass guitar. Learning different levels of techniques and developing a sense of time and rhythm.



Formal Education:

I have attended: Santa Fe University of Art and Design, Columbia College of Chicago and Henderson State University pursuing a degree in Music Composition and Theory.

Private Education:

I have taken lessons on Tuba, Trombone, Bass Guitar as well as Recording and Electronic Composition.

Performing Experience:

Orchestral, Wind, Brass Band, Collegium, Afro Cuban Jazz, Funk, NuFusion Jazz, Gamelan, Rock, Alternative Soul, Blues and Alternative Rock Ensembles.

Experience Teaching:

Aside from a few years of private lessons I am currently teaching for a local non-profit in my area at a local Elementary School.
