-Exploring Musical Styles & Elements: Students will analyze the distinct sounds, instrumentation, and production techniques from their favorite artists. This will help them craft music that aligns with their unique artistic vision.-Hands-On Music Creation: Using Pro Tools or their preferred DAW, students will compose melodies, chords, and arrangements from scratch, ensuring their lyrics are supported by the perfect musical backdrop.-Technical Setup & Equipment Use: Students will become comfortable with essential gear, including tablets or laptops, recording microphones, and ensuring a stable connection (preferably ethernet) for smooth workflow.-Digital Production & Sound Design: They’ll dive into music production techniques such as layering instruments, using MIDI, tweaking effects, and refining their sonic palette to match their creative intent.-Recording & Mixing Basics: Whether demoing their tracks or producing polished compositions, students will learn key mixing concepts to ensure their song sounds professional and cohesive.-Genre-Based Composition Approaches: Each musical genre has its own conventions—students will explore techniques that suit their style, from structured pop compositions to free-flowing jazz or electronic beats.

They'll learn how rhyme schemes, rhythm, and phrasing affect the song’s impact.-Hands-On Lyric Creation: Through guided exercises and personalized feedback, students will craft their own original lyrics. They’ll experiment with melody, emotion, and theme to build meaningful, engaging songs.-Genre-Specific Techniques: Each genre has its own lyrical nuances—whether it’s poetic storytelling in folk, punchy hooks in pop, or rhythmic wordplay in hip-hop.
