Hello, my name is Christian! I have been playing music for almost 10 years now. I’ve been playing piano and percussion since middle school, and I’ve been playing guitar and bass since 2016. I’ve been majoring in music education, and have taught percussion and piano classes for a year. Furthermore, I play drums and piano for my church worship band. While I don’t enjoy singing too much, I will play guitar and sing for the youth group worship nights whenever needed. I am 21 years old, born on 05/04/00 which is, in fact, Star Wars day. When taking lessons with me you can expect to learn the basics of the instrument you will be learning, how to use your hands properly, etc... and I expect to have you playing songs before you know it! You will also learn the required music theory to begin understanding scales and notes if you are taking a pitched instrument class. If you are taking piano classes the first few classes may not involve a piano at all and may just be focusing on hands. I will be able to bring guitar/bass/keyboard/drumsticks and pads depending on the class, and if you take a class with me at my church we will have access to a full piano, and drum set. I hope to be teaching you soon!

What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
You will learn the proper hand and body techniques required for playing piano. Along with theory required for reading music. You will also learn more advanced theory to improve your piano playing such as.. different scales, how to improv, and how to figure out chords of songs based on listening for intervals.
What to expect in my Drum Lessons
Beginner -
You will learn proper technique for playing drums along with how to read drum sheet music and the theory for reading and playing different notes and rhythms. Drumming is a very practice intensive instrument and requires “chops” to be built to play smoothly and to play faster tempos. So I do expect for my students to work on warm up exercises, I will provide, on their own when they can.
What to expect in my Bass Guitar Lessons
Beginner -
Learn the basic theory and technique required to not only play bass but also more advanced techniques to be able to fit your playing to different musical themes aka.. improv solos, figuring out chords to songs based on listening to intervals, and more complicated theory to help you improve your bass guitar playing. Upon request I will also teach tablature
