Lucas began playing piano at the age of 11. Over the years, he developed his skills further by involving himself in the band and choir programs at his high school. He gained performance experience locally and on acoustic guitar by playing with country bands across the Midwest. Though Lucas can teach many different genres of music, his musical personal favorites are folk, jazz, and acoustic which had a great influence on his style of playing.
