I have been playing music since I was about 7 years old; I had a very humble beginning on the recorder. I then played percussion in fourth grade, and discovered the saxophone in fifth grade, and continued on that path until the end of my high school career. I was also the first chair in our wind ensemble class, and I then tried out for the jazz ensemble and was accepted as lead 2nd alto. I was awarded a 1 rating at solo ensemble my senior year and received a varsity letter for the band all four years I performed. I also was awarded the Outstanding soloist award at the Bellevue Jazz Festival in 2019, as well as the Montana State Jazz Festival of the same year. Also, in that same year, we were given the opportunity to travel to New York and were accepted to play at Carnegie Hall. Music is my passion and I hope to make it my career.
