Guitar Lessons, Record Engineer Produce
Studio or Home or Webcam
I always loved music growing up. I was influenced a lot by my dad who always listen to Classic Rock in his truck when we drove places. My older brother played guitar most of my life, I wanted to be like him and impress the girls so I picked up the guitar at around age 11 or 12. I was mostly self-taught using books and YouTube videos. I've always played recreationally never professionally but I've strived to push myself to be able to play most songs I liked. As I got older I pursued a career in music, I studied for about a year as well as did an internship in a music studio where I learned audio engineering and occasionally filled in for absent guitar players. During my internship, I met an old Hawaiian man named Danny who taught me how to play Hawaiian-style guitar and it unlocked a new level of guitar playing for me. With my experience in audio engineering Hawaiian-style guitar playing and learning guitar by myself. I have been able to teach friends and family the basics of guitar. I have a nephew who now plays acoustic guitar religiously, and a friend who plays Hawaiian-style guitar. My niece is still finding her passion, she left guitar for a season but I hope to encourage her to continue. Although I have minimal 'professional' teaching experience. I have a lot of experience in guitar and audio engineering which I feel would make me an excellent teacher.
What to expect in my Guitar Lessons
I am proficient in Protools and can teach the basics, and some intermediate techniques of recording mixing and mastering. I was unable to check the boxes but can do most genres minus pop metal or hip hop. I never got into those as far as production.
What to expect in my Record Engineer Produce
I can teach anywhere from finger-picking to playing along with certain songs with chords. I can teach how to read tabs. I am not very familiar with reading sheet music with guitar, but I can teach how to read music in general. Again unable to check boxes but the genres I would best teach would be Rock, country, Christian, and gospel. Mostly anything acoustic.
