I am a first-year teacher in Richmond Public Schools, however, I have been a musician my entire life. My parents were professional musicians working with artists like Musiq Soulchild, Gerald Levert, and Erykah Badu. While pursuing my degree in music education in voice I took private piano lessons to hone my craft. I began learning instruments by being self-taught, so I have an understanding of the various levels of understanding my students could have prior to their first lesson. I like to set goals for my students and structure their lessons around those goals. I look forward to working with you!

What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons
Beginner -
Engaging and fun beginning experience. I meet my students where they are and do everything I can to get them where they want to be. I am an advocate in music literacy so skill can be transferred to other instruments and aspects of music.
What to expect in my Vocal Lessons
Beginner -
Insightful experience where we will find your range, work on fundamental skills (intonation, placement, breathing, etc.). Map out goals and choice repertoire that will challenge you while building on your abilities. Secondly, we will work on sight-reading as it aids in understanding the voice and learning repertoire.
