About Me

Hi there, My name is Shadiyah Jai and I am a singer/songwriter from Georgia. I have been a student of music for as long as I can remember. My musical influences include Jazmine Sullivan and Adele. My teaching style can best be described as holistic. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I believe that it is important to know how our instruments work. In my lessons, you can expect to learn about proper breath control, supported singing and how our anatomy plays a role in how we use our instruments. I like to remind my students that we sing for the joy and not for the judgement. My favorite thing about teaching is being able to witness my students' musical breakthroughs. My students love that I encourage them every step of the way. I primarily teach RnB, pop, jazz and Musical Theater, but I can also teach rock and classical. Thanks for taking a look at my profile.
