Joshua began playing guitar at the age of 12. Over the years, he developed his skills further by dedicating himself to his practice and pursuing a degreein music. He gained performance experience in the San Antonio area by playing at such venues as churches, colleges, and local restaurants, and with acts such as the San Antonio hand bell choir and the St. Mary’s guitar ensemble. Though Joshua can teach many different genres of music, his musical personal favorites are the blues and classical music which had great influence on his style of playing. Joshua loves music because it allows him to fully express himself and loves teaching music because, to him, there is nothing like the joy of knowing he made a difference in someones life by teaching them music. What to expect in my Guitar Lessons

Beginner - - Intermediate

-for beginner guitar players lessons will focus on basic techniques of playing guitar from posture to hand position and knowledge of the different parts of the guitar. This is the foundation of learning any instrument. We will play simple melodies of famous folk songs and pop songs based off of the genre the student wants to learn including different strumming patterns, rythems and fingerings. -intermediate guitar players will still focus on their positions and technical aspects of playing while moving into the more musical aspects of playing and learning different musical vocabulary. Students will also learn songs of more rigor.
