About Me

Tristan's love of music began at the age of 10 when he received the game Rockband for his birthday. It was here that he was first introduced to many of the rock bands, both old and new, that would shape his musical identity and interests for years to come. Not soon after Tristan began learning to play the electric guitar as well as the drums and a lifelong passion for playing music was born. While there have been extended periods of his life where he has spent time away from his instrument music has maintained as his greatest passion. "Whether I am playing or just listening, music has a way of touching my soul in a way that few other things in life are capable of." As of now, Tristan has 10+ years of experience playing guitar, 6+ behind the drum kit, and around two years each of playing bass, keyboards piano, organ, synth, etc., and vocal training. Tristan's favorite thing about music is how it can connect you to another individuals and allow you and other's to freely express themselvesFive years of experience in education primarily in math and science has helped him to develop an effective teaching style and given him the necessary skills to break down complex ideas into simpler "nuggets" that students can easily digest. When taking lessons with Tristan you can be certain that you are learning in a judgment-free space from an instructor who truly wants you to succeed and reach your fullest potential as a musician and as a human being.
