Flamenco Guitarist and Multi Instrumentalist Born in California, Mark began his musical training with piano at the age of ten, voice lessons at thirteen. At fourteen, he began studying the guitar first, with folk music, then classical guitar and finally, studying a true passion of his: the Flamenco guitar. Mark continued to expand his interest in musical instruments by taking up 5 string banjo, mandolin, fiddle, Double Bass and pedal steel guitar. As a singer, he has a smooth, deep baritone-bass voice (favoring that of Jim Reeves or Marty Robbins); his technique compliments his universal musical taste and styles. Mark has played with many name artists such as Freddie Fender, Red Simpson, Jodi Miller, Johnny Rodriquez and Johnny Bush. In addition, Mark has played with countless road bands and has had several of his own bands as well. Finally settling in Texas, Mark began his expansive teaching career. He offers instruction on just about any thing with a ”string” or a keyboard. He teaches at different music academies, conservatories, schools and music stores throughout the Houston area.
