Hi, my name is Josh and I am a musician from Indiana. I have been a student of music for 20 years. My musical influences include all sorts, but mostly alternative/indie rock and pop. I also enjoy new popular artists like Harry Styles. My teaching style can best be described as student lead. I help you reach the goals that you want and find the goals you didn't know you had. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I want you to feel the same joy from music that I do. In my lessons, you can expect to learn basics like technique but also about the charisma needed for performance. I like to tell my students that a lesson is a safe place to make mistakes. You can't have growth without discomfort. My favorite thing about teaching is a student's "aha!" moment. I primarily teach singing, but I can also teach piano and trumpet.
