Hi, my name is Rantanya and I am a new teacher from Fort Worth, Texas. I have been a student of music for 25 years, and will be new to teaching. My musical influences include Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Tamia, Anita Baker, and Luther Vandross. I also enjoy gaming and trivia. My teaching style can best be described as carefree and free flowing. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that "as long as I can hear a tune, I can harmonize to that tune." In my lessons, you can expect to learn how to correct pitch, hone your breathing techniques and sing at different key levels. I would like to tell my students to have fun and "feel" the sound. My favorite thing that I hope to get out of teaching is giving everyone a voice that they did not realize that they had. My favorite performance was Jennifer Hudson's rendition of "Oh Holy Night". I primarily teach R&B, but I can also teach pop, country, gospel, Latin, and opera style music as well. My approach as a teacher is to keep it fun at all times.
