About Me

I started singing in church with my mother at the age of 5yrs old who encouraged and influenced her love for the Creative arts, especially music. Throughout high school I performed in many different plays and productions such as "Beulah" and "Seasoned" written and directed by playwright Delores Garland and "We Need Him Now" written by Stu Gardner, musical director for The Bill Cosby Show. Being surrounded by such creative and influential people, compelled my creative desire to perform and write songs. Furthering my singing experience I co-founded an all girls group with her sister Anita Davis, and two other young ladies Francine Lyons and Nancy Drye, they called themselves "The Bebop Girls" performing locally throughout Richmond, Virginia. Our group's success and tight vocal harmonies enabled them to open for recording artists Kenny G., "The Controllers", Jerry Butler, and "Pieces of a Dream." This also gave the group an opportunity to have our own half hour special that was aired on Channel 21 for 2 years, in Richmond, Va. Later, I along with two other artists formed an R&B group called, "Fresh Package" where I was a co-writer and performer. We performed throughout Phoenix,AZ, dazzling audiences with our smooth dance moves and original songs. As a solo artist, I has appeared on the Fox Television Network, on "Amateur Night-Show Time at the Apollo" in New York. In Austin Texas, I have performed with "Just Released", "James Polk Big Band", and Pamela Hart-"Woman In Jazz Concert Series”. Currently, I actively sing in my own band called Groove Generation. where we perform all genre of music.
