About Me

I am a graduate of SUNY Purchase. I’ve had the pleasure of studying with guitarist Michael Belajonas and writer/arranger Jim McElwaine who has worked with Chuck Berry, Barry White, Earth Wind and Fire, and Randy Newman.

I began teaching while in college and have spent many years working on and refining my teaching technique. Almost immediately I developed a philosophy for teaching which can be best described in a simple equation, Practice + Patience = Success.

Formal Education:

SUNY Suffolk (General Music) 2005-2008.

SUNY Purchase (Cont. Education, emphasis on Studio Compositon).

Private Education:

I study guitar with Michael Belajonas, adjust guitar teacher SUNY Suffolk (2005-present).

I studied composition with James McElwaine, arranger/writer (Earth Wind and Fire, Marvin Gaye, Barry White) composition teacher SUNY Purchase (2008-2011).

I study composition with Joel Thome, writer/arrange, timpanist (Israeli Philharmonic, Orchestra of Our Time, Frank Zappa). composition teacher SUNY Purchase (2011 - present).

Experience Teaching:

I have been teaching for 5 years. My students include young children (5 y/o) to adults (63 y/o). I have taught special needs students (autistic).
