About Me

My name is Brett, and I have been directing choirs and teaching vocal technique, piano, and organ for over 13 years. I believe in meeting my students at their current experience level and motivating them to reach their highest potential. As a performer, I’ve performed all over the world, from the Cambridge Summer Music Festival in England to small concert venues. I was director of music at a private prep school in San Antonio, TX, where I ran a program of over 500 students and 5 staff members. During that time, my students took over 20 first place prizes in multiple competitions. I look forward to working with you and helping my students achieve their musical dreams and goals.

I began my formal keyboard studies with Steinway Artist Dr. Bonnie Gritton at the University of Utah when I was 7 years old. I received 11 straight Superior ratings in the Federation of Music Clubs Festival Competition, and was invited to perform three times on their Honors recital.

Performing Experience:

As a vocalist, organist, and conductor, I have performed in England, France, Belgium, Germany, Italy, and Canada. In the United States, I have performed in Washington State, Utah, California, Arizona, Idaho, Texas, Missouri, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Washington, DC.
