About Me

Elijah has been giving instruction to drum, bass, guitar, and piano students for over a decade now, with an emphasis on his primary instrument of drums and percussion. He was a music major at Modesto junior college in his hometown of Modesto California and switched over to recording arts and music production to receive a certificate in the production side of music. He first picked up the piano at around age 7 but still felt the desire to try other instruments, which led to him picking up guitar and bass around the ages of 9 and 10. Shortly after, he found his biggest passion in playing the drums by age 12, and has stuck to it as his primary instrument ever since. In high school he began the journey of studying to read drum notation and played in the jazz band all the way through college. Since the middle of high school, Elijah started utilizing his opportunities to perform and began touring parts of the west coast, and eventually the entire country by the age of 18. He’s played in 49 out of the 50 states and even played in Canada, Europe, and Mexico a handful of times. His specialties include drum notation, music theory, punk, rock, metal, pop, funk, and jazz drumming.

Performing Experience:

13 years touring experience, with multiple rock, metal, and punk groups, spanning 49 out of 50 US states, Europe, Mexico, and Canada. Written, recorded, and performed session work for many artists and bands, and put out multiple records, EP’s, and countless singles.

Experience Teaching:

13 years teaching experience, between drums, guitar, and bass, and almost 2 years teaching as a full time piano instructor for multiple companies and privately.
