I started in percussion in 6th grade, moving on to be the youngest person to join the High School marching band, as an 8th grader before I was in high school. I joined the High School Drumline my 10th grade year as a snare player and became the section leader my senior year while also attending as the first concurrent student to the Academy of Contemporary Music college, majoring in drum performance. I played drumset for the school jazz bands from my 6th grade to 12th grade years. I also played drumset for several bands throughout my years drumming, even regularily being paid to sit in for drummers in studio sessions, and on the road. I'm proficient in many instruments, but the drums have been the constant in my life for 20 years.
