Hello! My name is Chris and I have 20 years of teaching experience along with over 30 years playing music. I am a semi-retired community college media arts Professor with a huge passion for music. I started playing drums as a child way back in the 80s and never quit. I have done everything from playing in punk rock and metal bands to creating sound tracks for dance performances. I also have experience working in recording studios with a wide variety of analog and digital production techniques. Being a tutor has significant advantages over teaching in the classroom, as it gives me the chance to meet students at their own ability levels and tailor my lessons to fit. I enjoy teaching basic percussion techniques to beginners as much as helping to expand horizons for more experienced musicians.
