About Me

Hello! I am Emely, I was born and raised in New Jersey and moved to Saint Augustine, Florida in 2009 to attend the Florida school for the deaf and the blind. I am visually impaired. When I graduated high school in 2017, I moved to a small town in Georgia to attend Toccoa Falls college. My major was music performance with a voice concentration. Focusing on Opera and sacred music. I also received a minor in Bible and theology. Singing and music in general is my passion! After graduating college, I taught for a year at the Florida school for the deaf and the blind, teaching voice lessons to students between the ages of seven and 17. I love to sing, jazz, gospel, R&B, and opera. I believe that everyone has a voice that can be trained. Some people say “You can’t sing,“ my response is usually you probably can, you just don’t know how. My hope is for every student to be able to find their own voice and to use it in a healthy and beautiful way that will make them be more confident in their own sound and performance as a whole.
