About Me

Hi! My name is Alden. I graduated from Berklee College of Music with a degree in Professional Music. My degree concentrations were guitar performance and music production. I started playing guitar when I was 11 years old and, soon after, I knew music would be a part of my life forever. I started playing bass, drums, and then piano as well. I was a bandleader for the jazz and rock bands at my high school. I also music directed plays for the drama department at my school. I arranged songs on multiple instruments to complement the emotions expressed by the stage actors. I find it so inspiring to see how music can accompany a multitude of artistic mediums and transform the emotional state of an audience. I have experience teaching beginner to advanced guitar and bass, as well as intermediate level piano, drums, and ukulele. I also have an extensive background in ear training and music theory and am happy to tutor those subjects. I also help students improve their relative pitch, so you they play their favorite songs by ear! I've done gigging and session work with artists like Kaylub, Eros Canetti, Jay Alan, Robin Tucker, Marley Striem, and David Spitzfaden. I produce music in Logic Pro and Pro Tools. I love working with students at any level. If you have any questions, I am more than happy to answer them. I look forward to helping you achieve your musical goals!
