Tyler began playing Trumpet, Guitar, Drum Kit at the age of 11. Over the years, he developed his skills further by competing in state competitions at the junior high and high school levels and playing in his church youth band. He gained performance experience in the Phoenix, AZ area by playing at such venues as Rhythm Room and various other local establishments over 2 years. Tyler recorded a studio album at Lion Share Studio, in Los Angeles, where acts such as Michael Jackson, Kenny Loggins, Kenny Rogers, and Chicago recorded. Though Tyler can teach many genres of music, his musical personal favorites are Classic Rock and Blues which had great influence on his style of playing. Tyler loves music because its ability to express/portray emotions without a word spoken and loves teaching music because the creative arts are the ultimate opportunity.
