Hi, my name is Alex and I am a vocal teacher from Mobile, AL. I have been a student of music for 18 years. My musical influences include Starset, Breaking Benjamin, Halestorm, Sick Puppies, Evanescence, HIM, Sarah Brightman, Josh Groban, and many other rock, metal, and opera singers and I also enjoy painting and video games. My teaching style can best be described as hands on, thorough, and patient. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I want to instill the same love of music that I have into my students. In my lessons, you can expect to learn proper breathing, tone and pitch control, and stylistic techniques. I like to tell my students to never give up. My favorite thing about teaching is seeing the joy of a student making progress. My favorite performance was Starset and Breaking Benjamin in Pensacola, FL. My students love that I will always let them pick a song of their own to work into the lessons. I primarily teach mezzo-soprano, contralto, and tenor voices, but I can also teach soprano and baritone if needed. My approach as a teacher is to always encourage and cheer on my students.
