Hi, my name is Victoria and I am a pianist from Baltimore. I have been a student of music for 10 years. My musical influences include modern singer-songwriters like Adele and Taylor Swift and I also enjoy the classics. My teaching style can best be described as personal, but disciplined. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I expect students to pay attention to what they are doing, so they can recognize their own mistakes. That, to me, is true musical fluency and literacy. In my lessons, you can expect to learn how to use tools to nurture your music skills. I like to tell my students not to be afraid to try something that seems difficult. My favorite thing about teaching is connecting with others. My favorite performance was a recital I had when I was nine. My students love that I am encouraging and open to any question. I primarily teach piano, but I can also teach voice.
