David has always loved music from an early age. He began playing drums at the age of 9 and continued his education by earning a Bachelor's in Music Education, a Masters in percussion, and four years of doctoral study in percussion. David's favorite thing about music is sharing his craft to others as well as performing and his favorite thing about teaching music is helping students master the basics. One of his favorite teaching experiences was helping a student prepare for a cymbal position with the Notre Dame Band. The student got the position and was told by the judges he was the most prepared they ever had for an audition. When taking lessons with David you can expect an enjoyable, engaging experience.
