She began playing the cello at the age of 8, began her studies at the Vocational School of Art in Santiago de Cuba, and continued at the "Esteban Salas" Conservatory of Music in Santiago de Cuba, completing 9 years of study. Her musical influences greatly include Johan Sebastian Bach. Emily's favorite thing about music is expressing her feelings and what she likes most about teaching music is creating new talents that express themselves through it.
