Hi, it's Catherine here. Music is a great love of mine it brings me an innate sense of peace and contentment. It is one of the only things that has always remained steady and constant for me. Particularly the piano, it always makes sense to me it doesn't matter what I'm feeling or what the circumstances around me are I'm always able to connect to the piano. It has become a translator for all my most noticeable life experiences. I would love to teach and being the joy of playing the piano to as many as possible. It's never too late or too early to learn a musical instrument. Another thing I love to teach is composition. I've written many of my own pieces and I find that it is one of the most rewarding experiences.

Beginner - Intermediate
My piano lessons are comprised of the foundations of music theory as well as the mechanics of playing. Students will learn how written music works and how to read it and they will also learn how to play it. I also teach composition if that is something that the student is interested in. Learning how to compose allows an individual so much creative freedom in their work, it also improves upon one's ability to sight read as well as play.
Formal Education:
I've taken 2 years of Music Theory and composition.
Private Education:
I myself have taken piano lessons for over seven years and am so thankful for the teachers I've had. I have also received extensive classical vocal training.
Performing Experience:
I have over ten years of performing experience both in musical theatre and piano.
Experience Teaching:
I have two years of teaching experience in music composition and piano fundamentals.
