I have an open, friendly, and adaptable approach. My first goal is to provide a consultation session to find out what you're interested in accomplishing with music, and in particular on the bass guitar. Is it your intention to be a serious professional musician or maybe just aiming to get what you need to jam and have fun, or perhaps something in between? Are you looking to learn music theory, be a studio musician, be a live performer, play certain styles or songs by specific bands or players, or perhaps just how to hold down a groove with a band and lock in with a drummer in various genres of music? Once I understand your goals and aspirations as a musician, it becomes my job to meet you where you are. I will customize a plan to help you acquire, learn, and practice what you need to reach your objectives. I can assist you with nearly any style of music with the exception of jazz and classical (insufficient background in these extremely complex genres), and slap/funk (I can teach you the basics only).
