She began singing at the age of 5 and continued her education by attending and studying Governor’s School of the Arts, Shenandoah Conservatory, and Lamar’s University. Her musical influences include Renee Fleming and Bjork. Cara's favorite thing about music is that it transcends walls and boundaries with its language.
