Aurora has always loved music from an early age. She began playing violin at the age of 7 and continued her education by playing in her school's orchestra until graduation, competing in Texas State Solo and Ensemble, to finally debuting a piece by the esteemed composer Eric Whitacre with the University of Denver Symphony. Her musical influences include baroque, jazz, rock and Latin music. Aurora's favorite thing about music is the feeling of frisson she experiences when part of an ensemble; the beauty of forming moving and unique harmonies and chord progressions, and her favorite thing about teaching music is nurturing and watching a musician fall in love with their craft, providing a life-long sense of purpose and pride. One of her favorite teaching experiences was helping a friend figure out vibrato and witnessing their performance transform into something greater than the sum of its parts.
