Qyu began playing drums at the age of 3. Over the years, he developed his skills further by practicing and playing in church. He gained performance experience in the Oakalnd Bay Area by playing at many events and well ans in church. That turned into becoming a professional touring musician with artist such as Jeniffer Hudson, Raphael Saddiq, Tony ToninTone’, Too Short, DJ Quik, Richard Ashcroft, The Coup, Omarion, Avant just to new a few. Though Qyu can teach many different genres of music, his musical personal favorites are hip-hop, funk, R&B, pop, rock, and gospel which had great influence on his style of playing. Qyu loves music because it can bring untity to many different backgrounds and it brings a feeling only playing it or hearing it can explain. Qyu loves teaching music because watching others grow into the musician the desire to be has always been something I enjoyed helping facilitate.
