About Me

Hi, my name is Zak, and I am a drummer from Sumter, SC. I have been a student of music for as long as I can remember. I love The Red Hot Chili Peppers and I also really like Rage Against the Machine. My teaching style can best be described as focused and efficient. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I want your hands and feet to learn the drums through repetition. In my lessons, you can expect your hands and feet to learn the drums, not just your brain! I like to tell my students to keep it simple. My favorite thing about teaching is helping others find a healthy outlet for life's ups and downs. My favorite performance was at the Pickens amphitheater. I primarily teach drums, but I can also teach guitar, and live sound. My approach as a teacher is to be patient with multiple approaches to every situation. Thanks for taking a look at my profile. Church praise band since middle school. Played in local band in Clemson South Carolina called Tableshake throughout college years. I recently stopped working in construction and began to pursue music and drumming opportunities as a career.
