Mary has always loved music from an early age. She has been singing almost since she could talk, and she began playing the piano at the age of 3. She took piano lessons from then until she was a sophomore in high school when she began to focus more on her vocal training. Mary won first place in the Idaho State Solo and Ensemble, Soprano Division. She is also a three time winner of the UVMTA Piano and Strings competition. Mary loves singing in musicals--she has played Medda Larkin in Newsies, Fruma Sara in Fiddler on the Roof, and Marian in The Music Man. Mary's favorite thing about music is its ability to connect with all ages and backgrounds. Her favorite thing about teaching music is seeing her students progress and grow their confidence and love for music.
