About Me

I hold a B.A. in Music from Fayetteville State University as a 2011 Graduate. While in school, I also worked (and continue to work) as a Music Instructor at CS Walker Spivey School. My classes at FSU included Music Education for K-12 Grades as my electives. I love to play and teach the flute above all else! It makes such a beautiful sound and can change the atmosphere with a single note when played from the heart.

I currently will be teaching for Donna Doss-Spicer at REJOICE! Performing Arts & Dance Academy in Fayetteville, NC as a Flute Instructor. She has nothing but positive things to say about your company and is now putting all of her Instrumental Instructors through your program! I am very excited and eager to teach one on one lessons again! I have a lot to share and look forward to giving to any student that wants to learn and make music with their flute.

I am currently teaching k-12 graders for the Cumberland County School System.

Performing Experience:

I have performed with orchestras and bands throughout high school as well as a soloist in community events.

Experience Teaching:

I teach ages 5 - young adult, but can certainly teach an adult as well. I also have experience teaching "problem children," that have been dismissed from their current local school. I look forward to teaching any person that truly wants to learn how to make their flute sing! However, REJOICE! is not a place for young adults with social behavioral problems due to the safety of the other students that will be there simultaneously.
