Carter began his musical journey from just about the moment he was born. He has been playing saxophone/clarinet for 8 years, and piano for 9 years. Carter has received many awards like the “Louis Armstrong Jazz Award” and scholarships and grants for his musical talent. Carter is heavily proficient in both classical and jazz. He is currently studying under the great saxophonist David Detweiler and legendary jazz pianist Marcus Roberts. He has an extensive understanding of the jazz idiom, whether it be improving, tone, articulation, or anything else, and is excited to pass on his knowledge to his students! Carter mainly highlights teaching in the styles of Jazz, Classical, RnB, Pop, and Funk.
