I, Alexis, began playing piano at the age of 7. Over the years, I developed my skills further by practicing and putting in a lot of time and effort. I gained performance experience in the South East Texas area by playing at such venues as nearby churches, malls, and school competitions and with acts such as Christmas performances, pop music, as well as classical performances. Though I can teach many different genres of music, my musical personal favorites are classical, jazz, and ragtime which had great influence on my style of playing. I love music because it has always been a part of my life and I love teaching music because seeing someone develop such an amazing skill and love music as much as I do brings me so much joy :. I have went to state every year in high school for UIL in Texas where I grew up and scored a level 1 highest score on class 1 pieces hardest level.
