Daniel began playing Piano at the age of 10. Over the next decade, he developed his skills further by taking private lessons both in the Philly area and Iowa at Grinnell College where he has won awards for both piano performance, through the Curd Outstanding Instrumentalist Award, and choral composition. Developing a love for both piano performance and songwriting, Daniel gained performance experience in Iowa and the Philly-NYC area by playing at both local venues and schools and national ones: most notably Carnegie Hall. He plans to continue his musical study at Civica Scuola Di Musica C. Abbado in Milan the largest music school in Italy! for a semester, where he will use funding from the Curd Award to support his musical endeavors. Though Daniel can teach many different genres of music, his musical personal favorites are classical music and hardcore punk. Yes, you read that right: besides the piano, he's Arbitraitor's a hardcore punk band's lead singer and bassist. Daniel loves music because it brings him joy like no other and loves teaching music because he aspires to help others find that joy just as his teachers have inspired that in him.
